West Bengal Student Credit Card

The West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme is a government initiative aimed at providing financial assistance to the students of West Bengal to pursue higher education. Under this scheme, eligible students can avail of a credit card that will help them to cover their education-related expenses.

The scheme was launched in June 2018 by the Government of West Bengal. The credit card offers a maximum credit limit of Rs. 10 lakh and can be used to pay for tuition fees, hostel fees, purchase of books, laptops, and other equipment required for studies.

The scheme aims to promote higher education and skill development among students and help them pursue their dream careers. The credit card comes with a repayment tenure of 15 years, and students can start repaying the loan after completion of their studies.

To be eligible for the West Bengal Student Credit Card Scheme, students must be residents of West Bengal and have secured admission to a recognized higher education institution. They must also have a co-applicant who will be responsible for repaying the loan in case the student is unable to do so.
